Violin & Viola Instruction
The violin and viola holds a special place in my teaching practice because it combines physical discipline with expressive freedom. I focus on building a strong technical foundation from the start—developing posture, bow control, and intonation—while helping students discover the beauty of tone and phrasing. Every lesson is structured yet creative, designed to make progress feel achievable and enjoyable.
My experience spans beginners taking their first steps to advanced students preparing for recitals, auditions, or ensemble work. I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, goals, and learning style, ensuring that technical growth goes hand-in-hand with musical confidence. Through scales, études, and repertoire, I help students understand not only how to play but why each movement and sound matters.
What I value most is seeing students connect emotionally to their music. Beyond mastering notes and bowing patterns, I want them to experience the violin as a voice for their own expression. Whether pursuing music seriously or simply for the joy of it, my aim is to foster discipline, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the art of playing.

"Our daughter has blossomed since starting violin lessons here. She’s not only developed beautiful technique but also a genuine love for music. The lessons are structured yet warm—she looks forward to every class and practices with excitement. Seeing her confidence grow week after week has been such a joy for us as parents." -Mary M.
